This lovely young lady is Rebekah. She is a senior this year at Charles B. Aycock High School. I have been fortunate to work with Rebekah’s mom for the last couple of years in the school system and I think so much of her! I was so excited when she asked me to capture Rebekah’s senior portraits!

Rebekah was so easy to work with. She’s a natural in front of the camera and it’s silly how photogenic she is. She has *the best* smile when she laughs so her mom and I were up to some crazy antics during our session to make her crack up. Each time I was able to capture that genuine smile she has, it was a total success!

Rebekah is currently finishing her senior year in high school but also working on college classes at the local community college. She will be graduating from high school early and she plans to attend community college full time until she transfers to North Carolina State University.  She adores animals and has her own pet sitting business! She has volunteered at the animal shelter and completed an internship at Wayne Veterinary Hospital. She plans to apply for the Veterinary School at NC State and study to become a veterinary surgeon!!!

It never gets old to work with high school seniors! As much as I truly love to photograph them, I also love listening to their hopes, dreams and future ambitions! The world is full of amazing young people and each time I get to meet and work with one of them it gives me tremendous hope!! Rebekah is no doubt one of the amazing young people I have worked with and I am sure that she is going to set the world on fire and do BIG things!

Rebekah, I wish you a senior year full of amazing memories and exciting adventures. Thank you for trusting me with these memories and I do look forward to seeing what you do next!

Meet Emily. If you already know her then you know what a pleasure my time with her was. She was so easy going, so laid back and yet so much fun. We met at random field in the middle of a neighborhood and made magic happen because every single picture we took was gorgeous. I think Emily is a truly beautiful young lady but there is something special within her that radiates outward!

Emily is a senior this year at Wayne Early Middle College High School. She will be graduating this spring with both her high school diploma and her Associates in Science degree. She is hoping to attend Wingate University next fall and complete her nursing degree. Her ultimate goal is to work in the in NICU!

When Emily is not at school she works at Olive Garden as a hostess and dances at Studio 33. She is also involved with her local church, Bethel where she is a student volunteer with the youth group and she sings on the praise and worship team.

Emily, I wish you the best senior year ever! I believe that it is not only me that is able to see that special light within you shining outward and I hope that each person you come into contact with is able to be blessed by meeting you as I was!!!

I know I say it all the time but it’s because I genuinely mean it!! I photograph the “cream of the crop” high school seniors. I think each one that I get to work with is just BRILLIANT in their own right and Daniel certainly proved this theory to be true. Talk about an incredible young man with awesome character! I just truly enjoyed my time with him and his sweet mama!!

Daniel is a senior this year at Wayne Early Middle College High School. Prior to attending school there he was a Rosewood kid all of his life. He will be graduating this May with his high school diploma and an Associates Degree in Science!! {get outta here, right?} He plans to attend UNC Wilmington or UNC Chapel Hill where he hopes to complete his BSN and eventually go on to further his education and become a Family Nurse Practitioner!!

If you know Daniel then you know he has a passion for life and believes that each day is a gift. He loves to laugh and have a good time with his family and friends! I think we laughed more during our session then we did take pictures for sure! He has a million dollar smile and I think his zeal for life is contagious! He’s one of those people that you simply enjoy being around.

Daniel is involved with his local church, Rosewood First Baptist as well as the Student Council at school and the Goldsboro Mayor’s Youth Council. In addition, he works part time as a sales associate at Sears! I have no doubt that this kid is going to do incredible things.

Daniel, thank you for letting me capture these images for you to remember this special time in your life. You are an awesome young man and I really look forward to what you do next! Stay true to who you are and make your mama proud!! (haha, I know she’ll like that part!)

This couple. This wedding. This love story. It’s one of the many reasons I love being a wedding photographer. Kristen contacted me about photographing her “simple backyard wedding” and I was thrilled to accept. As I got to know Kristen and her story I realized that God truly does orchestrate every detail of our lives—to include the couples I am so fortunate to work with. This couple and their story has inspired me and blessed me in many ways!

Kristen and Brent had their first date in January of this year. Kristen said that on the second date she knew that she loved him. She shared with me that Brent brought this peace, security and presence of surety that she had never experienced before. She laughed as she explained to me that she has never been able to make up her mind about anything but she never had a question or doubt that Brent was the man she was going to marry.

Kristen has a daughter, Hallie, and she told me that Brent courted Hallie too. Hallie was always included on their dates and Brent would present Hallie with meaningful gifts as their relationship progressed which further assured Kristen that Brent was the man she had prayed for.

Brent proposed in July–to both Kristen and to Hallie! Kristen jokes that Hallie was a bridezilla from that point forward helping Kristen to plan every detail of the wedding! This wedding was truly a family affair. It was held in the family’s backyard with Brent and Kristen’s closest family and friends in attendance. The couple exchanged handwritten vows and in keeping true to his Christ like character, Brent read vows to Hallie as well.

I have no doubt that the effort this couple took to keep Christ at the center of their relationship will continue to bless them for many years to come.

What a delight it was to have met and worked with Ms. Hannah!! She is such an incredibly lovely young lady! Not only she is beautiful (her smile is so contagious!!), sweet spirited and completely down to earth but she’s smart and driven. I know that this young lady is going to do really big things. Working with our high school seniors does give me so much hope for our future!

Hannah contacted me early last summer about taking her senior portraits because she was so excited when her grandfather got this awesome old truck on his car lot! She just knew that she wanted to use this truck in her portraits and we had to get it done before it sold! Mission accomplished and it was well worth it!!

Hannah is a senior at Rosewood High School this year where she actively involved. This year she is serving as the president of the FFA at Rosewood High School. She is also a member of the parliamentary procedure team for the FFA and a member of the National Honor Society. Outside of school Hannah has been a dancer at Artistic Dance Academy for the past 14 years! She will graduate in June and hopes to attend NC State to study Agricultural Science.

Hannah, thank you for allowing me to capture your senior portraits! You are a true gem of a gal and I am thankful to have met and worked with you! I pray that this is your best year yet!
